Week 5 DP update:
Since I couldn't find a partner before this was due, I decided to take the initiative to critique myself on my own work.
1. How is the artist's composition? Could anything be added to enhance the overall image?
I believe that my composition can use some work, especially in contrast on the darker spots of my drawing. It may be too early to tell where I can enhance it until i finish the dots, but I should definitely space out my dots more on the lighter side of the ball.
2. How is the work's value: Is the value accurate and focusing on realism?
I think the value in my work is rather shading wise and proportions wise, but I can make this painting more realistic by using more or less ink for each dot that I make
3. Is the mark making (dots) clean, concise and meditative?
The marks in the middle of the paper may look a little bit sloppy in my eyes, but the bald spot really shines through my conciseness in the dots. The dots I can work more on are on the top right part of the circle.
4. Is there an unnecessary outline to the drawing?
I don't think so, not to me anyways
5. Are the dots equally spaced to ensure correct value?
Again, I think the darker parts of my drawing can use some help
